Wind Cave National Park

For this project, I created a poster for Wind Cave National Park, inspired by my personal connection to the park and a photo I had taken of a buffalo sticking its tongue out. This image became the centerpiece of the design, paired with the phrase “Tastin’ the Past, Chewin’ on the Future” to reflect the park’s deep historical roots and ongoing significance. The concept highlights how national parks offer a glimpse into the past—specifically the heritage of the Lakota people—while also encouraging visitors to shape the future through preservation. To honor this connection, I incorporated traditional Lakotan war symbols onto the buffalo, adding cultural depth and storytelling to the piece.
