Smithsonian

This package design project was inspired by a fictional collaboration between the U.S. Postal Service and the Smithsonian to celebrate one of the museum’s most prized possessions—the Hope Diamond. Interestingly, the diamond was originally delivered to the Smithsonian by USPS, which made the partnership a fitting concept. I designed a full stationery set along with a custom stamp collection, with each stamp illustrating a different chapter in the diamond’s history: its mining origins, its place in the French crown, its time in Paris, and a final rendering of the diamond itself. The overall design pays homage to the mystery and legacy of the Hope Diamond, blending elegance, storytelling, and historical significance into a cohesive and immersive package.
